there is a widely held belief that when the barometric pressure drops, babies will too. almost 100 expectant mothers are at the guam memorial hospital, waiting out the storm. i'm not sure if this is true, but babies are always born in storms. but then again, babies are always born, period. if you are going in labour, you're gonna want to be at the hospital anyway.

the santa rita bridge in the south collapsed, completely impassible. for those of you who have never been, it's a tiny bridge, but people are still stuck. polaris is still impassible, as is the agahan bridge, also in the south.

power is out throughout the north, including dededo, yigo, and parts of harmon.

wow, i'll bet when you read there was going to be a blog about a big typhoon it would be all dramatic and harrowing. hey, it still could be. i, for one, am glad that mine is mundane and boring.

believe me, i'm still on the verge....
